It's 5:11am and I've been up for over an hour. It's the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and I can't turn my mind off! There's so much to do, and I don't want to forget anything! Tonight is our last Dave Ramsey class, and tomorrow is a huge potluck/Christmas decorating event at work. I haven't planned the finger foods I'm bringing for tomorrow, and I have class tonight, so there's no time for cooking! Then when I get home tomorrow I need to start on the pies for Thanksgiving, boiling the sweet poatoes, and preparing the homemade cranberry sauce. Oh and make the 7 layered sald - which reminds me I need to set out the turkey bacon to unthaw.
Did you all hear about the craigslist posting for a Holiday girlfriend? Wanted for Christmas parties and snuggling by the fire, but the deal only lasts until 11:59pm January 2nd? haha! I thought about things like that when I was single. I hated going to holiday parties alone!! Everyone had their families and I had.........well my parents. But you can't exactly go to family events and haul your parents along with you're in your late twenties. So it was solo all the time. Sharing the table with children while the couples all sat together....ahh I many times just wanted someone to date during the holidays just so I didn't have to go through that time alone! I'm glad I no longer have to worry about that!
Well Happy Thanksgiving to all - I hope your holidays are filled with much love, friends, family, and good food. If you're making fried turkey please be careful!
